Privacy Policy

Your health data belongs to you — not us. Here is exactly how PulseAnvil handles your information.

Last updated: March 21, 2026

1. Introduction

PulseAnvil ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your information when you use the PulseAnvil app on iPhone and Apple Watch. By using PulseAnvil, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Health & Fitness Data

PulseAnvil requests access to Apple HealthKit to read and write the following data types: • Heart rate and heart rate variability • Active energy burned and resting energy • Workout sessions, duration, and distance • Steps, flights climbed, and move minutes • Body measurements (if provided by you) This data is used solely to power the app's workout tracking and analytics features. It is never used for advertising purposes, and we never share HealthKit data with third parties.

Photos & Progress Selfies

PulseAnvil may request access to your device's photo library to enable the Progress Selfie feature, which lets you capture and track your physical transformation over time. • Photos are only accessed when you explicitly choose to add or view a progress selfie within the app. • All progress photos are stored entirely on your device and/or synced to your personal iCloud account via CloudKit — they are never uploaded to PulseAnvil servers. • We do not scan, analyse, or process the content of your photos in any way. • You can revoke photo library access at any time in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → PulseAnvil.

Account Information

PulseAnvil uses Sign in with Apple for authentication. When you sign in, we receive a unique anonymised user identifier from Apple. We do not receive your Apple ID email address unless you choose to share it. No passwords are stored by PulseAnvil.

Usage Data

We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage analytics (such as feature usage frequency and crash reports) via Apple's built-in analytics tools. This data cannot identify you personally and is used only to improve app performance and stability.

Data You Provide

If you contact our support team via email, we retain your message and email address solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to any marketing list without your explicit consent.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: • Provide, operate, and improve the PulseAnvil app and its features • Display your personal fitness progress, heart rate zones, and workout history • Power the Progress Selfie feature so you can visually track your transformation • Sync your data securely across your iPhone and Apple Watch via CloudKit • Respond to your support requests • Investigate and fix bugs and crashes We do not use your data to serve advertisements, build advertising profiles, or sell to data brokers.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your health, workout, and photo data is stored: • Locally on your device — health data in Apple's HealthKit database and progress selfies in your device's local storage, both protected by iOS security. • In your personal iCloud account via CloudKit — including workout history and progress selfies — encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple. PulseAnvil does not operate its own servers for user health data, fitness data, or photo storage. We apply end-to-end encryption principles and rely on Apple's robust security infrastructure to protect your information.

5. HealthKit Data Policy

PulseAnvil strictly adheres to Apple's HealthKit guidelines: • HealthKit data will not be used for advertising or marketing purposes. • HealthKit data will not be shared with third parties without your explicit consent, except when required by law. • HealthKit data will not be sold to data brokers, insurance companies, or employers. • HealthKit data is used only to provide health and fitness features directly within the app. You can revoke HealthKit access at any time in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → PulseAnvil.

6. Photo & Camera Access

PulseAnvil requests access to your photo library solely for the Progress Selfie feature: • Purpose — To allow you to select or capture photos that document your fitness journey over time. • Storage — All progress selfies are saved on-device and/or synced to your personal iCloud account via CloudKit. They are never transmitted to or stored on PulseAnvil servers. • No Third-Party Sharing — Your photos are never shared with, sold to, or accessible by any third party. • No Automated Analysis — PulseAnvil does not run facial recognition, body analysis, or any machine-learning processing on your photos. • Your Control — You can delete individual progress selfies from within the app at any time. You can also revoke photo access entirely in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → PulseAnvil.

7. Third-Party Services

PulseAnvil integrates with the following Apple services, each subject to Apple's own Privacy Policy: • Apple HealthKit — health and fitness data storage • CloudKit — encrypted cross-device data sync (workouts, settings, and progress selfies) • Sign in with Apple — secure, private authentication • App Store — app distribution and in-app purchase processing We do not integrate third-party advertising SDKs, analytics platforms (such as Firebase or Mixpanel), or social media tracking pixels.

8. Children's Privacy

PulseAnvil is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at anvilcrew@pulseanvilfitness.com and we will promptly delete such information.

9. Your Rights & Choices

You have the following rights regarding your data: • Access & Portability — You can view and export your workout data directly within the app or via the Apple Health app. • Deletion — You can delete your PulseAnvil account and all associated data from within the app's Settings screen. Deleting the app also removes locally stored data from your device. CloudKit data can be removed via iPhone Settings → iCloud → Manage Storage. • Withdraw Consent — You can revoke health data permissions at any time in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Health. You can revoke photo access in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos. • Contact Us — For any privacy-related requests, email us at anvilcrew@pulseanvilfitness.com.
